Company
A remote factory with the engineering team inside it.
Serow builds custom remote controls for brands that need a control device made to their specification. Tooling, injection molding, SMT, assembly and reliability testing sit inside our own manufacturing center — not at a partner site the buyer never sees.
Why we exist
The gap is usually between the design and the line.
Many suppliers can quote a remote. Fewer can explain why the key feels wrong after tooling, why the RF range dropped in the final housing, or why the pilot build failed a test that passed on the prototype.
Serow exists to close that gap: the engineering team that defines the product is responsible for the process that builds it. That is the whole proposition — not a wider catalogue.
- One team from key map to production test
- Written specifications before tooling
- Test reports before claims
- Limits stated early, not after a failure
- Client-owned tooling and documents where agreed
How we are organized
Five centers. One site.
Serow is organized as five centers under the general manager. Manufacturing is one of them: tooling, injection molding, SMT, silk-print and assembly are inside the company, not subcontracted to a site you never see.

R&D center
Industrial design, mechanical, hardware and software, with technical management covering project managers and test certification.
Sales center
Domestic sales, overseas sales and marketing. One account owner per program, from brief to shipment.
Manufacturing center
Production, purchasing and quality. Silk-print, bronzing, laser, injection, SMT and assembly are all in-house lines.
Financial center
Cost accounting, financial statistics, general ledger and cashier. Cost is tracked per program, not per quarter.
HR center
Recruiting, training and administration for the engineering and production teams.
One program owner
Every program has a named owner inside technical management. No center hands off a decision without a document.
R&D team
32 engineers, weighted toward software.
Software is the largest group, which is where voice, air-mouse and app work sits. DQA and verification report outside the design team, so a design is not graded by the people who wrote it.
Design, project management, certification and verification.
Firmware, BLE stack, voice integration, app and production test software.
Housing, keypad, battery door, tooling review and DFM.
PCB, antenna, power path and radio bring-up.

Where the volume ships
Half of our programs are Asian. Forty percent ship to Europe and the US.
Asia is the base load: TV and OTT platforms, operators and hospitality groups close to home. Europe and the US are the growth programs, where certification and documentation carry more weight.

Principles
Four principles we keep even when they cost the deal.
They are simple, and they are the reason some briefs are declined.
Verify before we claim
No compatibility, IP or battery-life claim without a test on the actual configuration. If the test has not been run, the specification says “target”.
Flag limits early
If a requirement conflicts with physics, certification or the budget, we say so at the brief stage. A late surprise costs more than a lost quote.
Document the handoff
A decision that is not written down is not a decision. Drawings, BOM, firmware and test specs carry revisions and an owner.
Respect the installed base
A new handset usually has to work with hardware you cannot change. We start from the receiver, not from what would be easiest to build.
Partners and customers
Three groups, kept apart on purpose.
The silicon we build on, the brands we build for, and medical device makers. A chip partner is not a customer.
Marks belong to their owners and are used here to identify a supply or customer relationship. A relationship does not mean every product from that company uses Serow controls.:
Where we are
Shenzhen, with the supply chain next door.
The location matters for a hardware program: components, tooling, test houses and assembly are within a short distance, which shortens the loop between a problem and a fix.
Visits are welcome by appointment. The full address and site details are provided with the meeting confirmation rather than published as a map pin.
- Response Typical reply within one business day
- Kickoff Brief review, then a written scope
- NDA Signed before drawings or protocol documents are shared
- Travel Shenzhen site visits by appointment
- Time zone GMT+8, with scheduled calls for EU and US teams
